The Sinless Christ
"...but this man hath done nothing..."
1. He was the Just dying for the unjust
2. He was the Justifier dying as the condemned
3. He was the Judge dying as one judged

The Surrendered Call "Lord, remember
me..."
1. Surrender (he looked away from the thief to Christ)
2. Submission (he called Him Lord)
3. Salvation (asked for rememberance)
IV.
The Simple Confidence "Today shalt thou be with
me.."
1. Rememberance "Today..."
2. Reception "...shat thou be with me..."
3. Revelation "...in paradise."

The Scriptural Conclusions
1. Substitutes Are Ineffective!
-NOT baptism, good works, church membership, keeping
the commandments, communion, etc
2. Salvation is Instantaneous
-no weeping, begging, pleading; just a revealtion
of his
sinful condition and simply calling on Christ
