In John 11, Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazerus..."Behold how he loved him!

I. AN UNEXPECTED KIND OF LOVE    Behold, 

Behold= to see, perceive, look intently w/an element of shock, surprise

II. AN UNEXPLAINABLE KIND OF LOVE   what manner of love

manner=sort, quality, from what country?

Ps 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Eph 3:18-19 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

III. AN UNCONDITIONAL KIND OF LOVE   the Father

A father is a protector, a provider, a teacher, a helper, an encourager
 

IV. AN UNEARNED KIND OF LOVE   hath bestowed upon us

Sometimes in life, love just happens! Odd matches! Tall/short big/small

Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

V. AN UNTHINKABLE KIND OF LOVE   should be called the sons of God

if a Car Dealer gave you keys to new car/if a Realtor drove you to a new new home and said "it's yours" If Bill Gates sent you a check for $1 Billion....None of that would be as unthinkable as God loving you!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

VI. AN UNFASHIONABLE KIND OF LOVE   the world knoweth us not..knew him not.

This kind of love is not "in vogue." No lost person marvels at the love of God as a Christian does. Many mock it, laugh at those of us who enjoy it.

VII. AN UNLIMITED KIND OF LOVE        now are we... we shall be....be like him
